Duke of Edinburgh Award
The Duke of Edinburgh Award aims to empower young people; to support them as they learn new skills, overcome obstacles, and build confidence and resilience.
Many of our students have the opportunity to take part in the bronze and silver level of The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, with the expedition section taking place either in Guernsey or further afield. This is an important element of the curriculum and is key to developing independence, positive attitudes and social skills. This also helps to develop successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is achievable by any young person who chooses to take up its challenge, regardless of ability, gender, background or location.
